Importance of upholstery cleaning

A lot of people are not aware, that their sofas require a certain amount of maintenance. With time, they collect a considerable amount of dust and are surely crawling with those microscopic bugs called dust mites.

For the purpose of refreshing your sofa, we can apply Hot Water Extraction which is quite effective as it deals very well with accumulated dirt and many types of household stains.

We recommend that you get your upholstery sofa cleaned by a professional once a year to keep it clean and extend its lifespan. We clean sofas, chairs, curtains, drapery, and anything else upholstered with high-end technology. We also determine which cleaning method to use depending on the type of fabric, which can be Haitian cotton, velour, brushed corduroy, leather, etc.

However, please keep in mind that some stains actually cause damage to the fabric and can’t be removed completely.

Sofa Steam cleaning

Stain pretreatment - The professional will see the type of stain and apply the most suitable detergent. He brings a variety of detergents that are specialised for the removal of certain stains – coffee, greasy food, blood, ink, crayon, vomit etc. However, keep in mind that there are some stains that permanently damage the fabric and can't be removed, for instance.

Hot Water Extraction - We've set it as a standard for quality. It is the most effective upholstery cleaning method to date.

A high-end professional machine is used to inject hot water deep between the fibre. This effectively dislodges the accumulated grime and dust. The nozzle has a suction attachment that almost simultaneously removes about 95% of the moisture from the textile (along with any dislodged dirt).

This way you are left with a perfectly cleaned and deodorised upholstery that will air dry on its own in a few hours.

Dry Cleaning for delicate Materials

For more delicate fabrics, we recommend using less harsh products and the use of a regular vacuum rather than a hot water extracting machine. This is what we refer to as dry sofa cleaning.

The professional will use a low moisture powder, that is pretreated on the stains and by using a brush that safely and gently brushes the product inside the fabric, after waiting a few minutes, he is able to vacuum up the powder along with the accumulated dirt that the powder brings forwards.

Please note, that some stains are a permanent  damage to the sofa, and will not be possible to remove fully. Especially the fabric being soft and delicate, it is best not to further damage the actual textile of the sofa by trying to get rid of a permanent stain.
